Small Savings Add Up - Part 1

There are lots of little ways to save money. May not seem like much till you figure them all together, then you realize what the worth of taking time out to make the little things matter can do for you. So, first off, saving on stamps.

SAVING ON STAMPS

With all the ways to save a buck few think about the all mighty stamp. This is quickly on it's way out. Now that everyone seems to have a computer and we all want to go green and lower are carbon footprints. Going paperless with your bills offer more than just a more earth friendly alternative. You can save money when you cut out the middle man and get your bills via email. "Yeah right, maybe pocket change." We'll let's figure it up. The current rate for a postage stamp is $0.42, the average person has
  • rent/house payment
  • electricity
  • garbage
  • water
  • satellite/cable
  • credit card
  • phone
  • loan

Price of the stamps for all eight bills equals to $3.36. This paid every month will add up to $40.32 for the year. You may not think an amount like that will count for much. But little steps like this can go a long way towards some major saving with you banking account. Make no mistake, it adds up. You may even have more bill coming in than that. I didn't even count some of the bills that my husband has as well. So there with be an even greater savings there as well.

Somewhere on your bills you will see a website there you will be able to set up an account to have your bills emailed to you. There are several ways to set up paperless billing. You can go for automatic payments every month and let them charge you at set times that you decide or you can make payments each time they come in. There are some bills that will offer discounts if you set up automatic payments. This is the way my husbands students loan is. It never hurts to look. You can talk to your credit card company and ask if they can offer you a lower interest if you set up automatic payments.
